The Adventures of Stickman

Hi.

That's all I wanted to say.

Okay, so obviously that I'm here, I'm not going to waste it on two lines. I found a really cool online game called, Draw a Stickman, and I took snaps of my adventures, so here it is:

The Adventures of Stickman and Someone who really can't Draw. :)

Not too long ago, on the internet, a girl with no drawing skills decided to make a stickman. This is Stickman.I.N.Pain. We'll just call him Stickman for short.

Then a box appears out of nowhere. WOW! Magic! What's that in his hand? Yes, that is a key. Don't judge.

The key fits! Another box tied to a balloon floats out. Let's draw a balloon in Stickman's hand to see what happens.

What?? The balloon just turned into a dragon egg! What's going on here??? Everything's burning! Yes, that is an egg. No, it's not an extra leg for a mutant spider.

Yeah! We killed the dragon. Now to put out the fire. I love drawing rain clouds. Who cares that I still draw them the exact way I did when I was 3.

That's a drain down the bottom. To suck the sharks away. Because it rained too much.Bit of unnecessary explaining.

Then the sharks get sucked away, and Stickman lives happily ever after, ready for his next adventure.

Ready for adventure two? Let's go!

Stickman comes to a tree and hears people calling for help. Let's draw a ladder!

Oh no! A tiger! Let's make Stickman a tiger costume. I know it looks like a beaver, but trust me, it's a tiger.

Some stupid alarms go off and wake the tiger up. Thankfully, we look like a tiger.

Whoops! Some birds came out the hole and brushed off our costume. Now the tiger is mad and trying to get us! Let's splash him with some water.

Handy, an elevator up this tree. Let's draw a heavy weight. Ain't nothin' heavier than a black hole.

 Drat you Beaver!!!

Quick! Make this box into a plane that could never fly!

Whoops, the tree fell over. Betta go back.

Yay, you save the little stick people, and the dragon, which was originally dead, comes back to life to burn the tree down and keep you warm this winter.

But, all in all, this game is really fun and pretty hilarious. Also, there's an app, which I'm going to play.
See you!

Good bye braces!

So, for the past two years, I've had braces.  And tomorrow, I will say goodbye forever! As a child, I had pretty horrible "rabbit-teeth". I'm not going to put up a picture, just in case you're reading this over breakfast.  I don't want to be guilty of murder. But like I said, I'm getting rid of them.  So I'm very excited about this milestone.  No doubt you came here from facebook. Now that I'm on social medias like facebook and instagram, you will get fed up pretty quickly off all the "no braces" pictures I'll probably post.  Don't worry. I hate hash tagging things.  So, I'm getting rid of braces.  What should I do next? Cut my hair? Fly somewhere? Probably try and lose my hip fat. ;-)

A Birthday!

Okay, so this is rather late, but on the 3rd, was my brother's birthday. He is really into Cars and his favourite character is Mater. So, for his birthday, I made him a Mater cake.

Do you like to make cakes? If so, send me some pictures at sweetcakesandroses@gmail.com

DIY Autism Shirt

Autism Awareness Tee shirt-maybe diyI had always admired this t-shirt, but since it costs $20 (US), not to mention shipping, it wasn't the most affordable thing on earth, especially since they aren't that hard to make your own! So I decided to make my own, and if you don't want to make your own, or can't, here is the link to buy it.  I wanted a quote on mine, and as I couldn't find any that I liked, I made up my own.
First, get a white t-shirt, or in my case, a polo shirt. Make sure it fits before you start doing anything! Lay it out on a flat surface (yeah, like my desk, LOL!).
As you (might be able to) see here, I've sketched out my quote on here. You can see it better, once it's painted. Make sure that you sketch out your design first, before you start painting.

Okay, so I kinda forgot to take a picture of the painting process, but this is what it looks like afterwards.

As you can see, I added some little puzzle pieces around it. Mainly to cover up the paint blobs I accidently spilled, but shhh!!

So, what do you think? Go and make one!

Gluten and Dairy free Friands

Have you ever tried tried friands? I'm talking about those sorry excuse of a muffin "friands" that they serve at McCafe! I mean real, honest-to-goodness, melt-in-your-mouth, fresh-out-of-the-oven, friands. They are gorgeous!! And when made right, they taste so good, you want to die! So here are some make-you-want-to-die friands.

Ingredients:
200g diary free spread (I use nuttelex)
250g icing sugar
50g gluten free plain flour
1 tsp xanthan gum
175g almond meal (just grind up almonds)
6 egg whites
1 tsp lemon essence
roughly 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 200C or 180C fan forced. Line a twelve hole muffin tin with muffin liners. Melt the spread over the stove, or if you're like me, in the microwave!
Sift the icing sugar, flour and xanthan gum in a mixing bowl. Add the almond meal and mix between your fingers.

In another bowl, mix the egg whites, until they form a light floppy foam.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients (not as extreme as mine!) and gently pour in the egg whites and the lemon essence.
Add the melted spread, and gently stir to make a soft mix. Note: It is advised that you don't eat ALL the batter, because otherwise, your hungry family members are going to kill you. Make sense?)
Gently fold in the choc chips. Enjoy Life brand have some really yummy ones. And as you can probably see, they are gluten, dairy, nut and soy free!
Pop in the oven for about 15-25 minutes. Mine took about 20-25 minutes, but the original recipe says 15-20. You're welcome!
When they're done, take them out and don't bother waiting for them to cool, before you devour them!
Note: make sure you stash a couple away, before the vultures descend. You're welcome.
Now go and make some!

Disclaimer (you know, to make it all official!) No, unfortuantely Enjoy Life haven't paid me to say nice things about them (hint, hint) and this recipe was adapted from the book, Cake Angels, by Julia Thomas.

A Bumper Post!

Okay, so I’ve been pretty slack, so I have a lot in this post. I’m going to try and post weekly, but it doesn’t always work out!

I have a friend at choir that was diagnosed with drop palsy and so she was feeling very upset and I wanted to cheer her up. So I made her a gift bag.

I put these items in. Glitter bath salts (who doesn’t love a good relaxing bath?), lavender body lotion, ‘strawberries and cream’ lip balm, strawberry tic-tacs (I love these!), nail art stickers, a gold necklace (who doesn’t need a necklace?), homemade bath bombs, a little heart soap, a tea light candle and a hankie. She absolutely loved it! These sort of things are great. I mean, who wouldn’t love to get a bag like this? I know I certainly would! *hint, hint!*

I made a handbag! What do you think? It’s pretty cute! My parents are taking me and one of my brothers to the Gold Coast in April, so I wanted something that I could tote around that would fit my purse, some tissues, and a water bottle. Everything fits, with room for a book!

This is my breakfast for this morning. It was so good! I had banana pancakes with berries and syrup, with a PMS smoothie. They were both so good! Links below. And of course, nothing made it better than reading a good Nancy Drew mystery!

I hope you enjoyed reading this bumper post!
Questions of the Day: Do you like reading mysteries? If so, what is your favourite? What is your favourite breakfast? What is your favourite thing to gift and if you can, sew? I am very curious! J

Dairy free Caramel Chocolates

Okay, this isn't really a "recipe" as such, it's too easy! But I made this the other day when Bendigo had 40 degrees, and my family loved it! When I'm making up recipes, I don't tend to measure things out. So, I'll write down what I did, and if you want, I can measure it out. Here it is.

  • In a glass bowl, pour in chocolate chips. I use Enjoy Life mini semi-sweet choc chips, because they are allergy-friendly. Put in the microwave or over a double boiler on the stove and melt.
  • Once melted, pour  into mold about a third of the way, and using a pastry brush, wipe the chocolate up the sides. I wouldn't  advise using shaped molds, just because they might turn out funny. I use ice cubes trays.
  • While the chocolate is in the fridge, get out either coconut sugar, or brown sugar and nuttelex or butter. I haven't used brown sugar and butter before, but it should work. In a saucepan over a medium heat, melt the sugar and nuttelex until combined.
  • Take chocolate out of the fridge (it should be firm) and pour in the caramel sauce about a third of the way. Put it back in the fridge.
  • The caramel should have a bit of a skin over the top before you go any futher. Once this has happened, melt down some more chocolate. Then spoon a little over the top of the caramel. You only need a little!
  • Put it back in the fridge until firm, and then eat!

This isn't the picture of them, but you get the idea. They look like chocolate ice cubes.
If you make them, let me know and send me pictures!

Giveaway and Bendigo Show

No, It's not mine. A magazine that I'm subscribed to for Christian girls is having a giveaway. Even if you haven't subscribed, enter, because you can win a year's subscription! I totally recommended the magazine. It always has helpful articles about walking with Christ, honouring your parents... etc. So go enter here!

Now, I know this is rather late, because the Bendigo Show was in October, and it's almost December (!) but, here are the details. Very Picture Heavy sorry!

I made a cake, racing cars because I thought, I need the practice, what with having little brothers!

 But unfortunately, I didn't win!!

All of my family, including Omi (German for Grandma) and Sandra, a family friend came along. It was a lot of fun! We haven't been anywhere as a family, for at least 1 and a half years!

We saw lots of chickens and ducks!

 Jess and Breanna
I thought this was the perfect shot of my favourite pony, but then when I uploaded it, I saw Jess' head! Urgh!

Rides, kites and more rides...
And then after riding on the rides, getting show bags, and seeing everything, we went home. Sorry, about the lack of pictures, my camera ran out of batteries, twice,so I didn't have any more!
So you around! Keely
